Twin Greasing System

Dual Line Greasing System

Groeneveld supplies the TWIN dual-line greasing system especially for application in industrial processes under severe conditions or with heavy equipment. One or several central pump systems are used to service a great many greasing points simultaneously, at the right time and with the right quantity of grease. Regular greasing means that important components like bearings are lubricated properly and constantly, giving no chance to wear and tear. At the same time, chances of malfunctioning are reduced to a minimum, while maintenance costs go down substantially.

Dual line 2-grease-system

The TWIN 2-grease system is a fully monitored greasing system, consisting of a plunger pump, a main line network to the blocks with metering units and a secondary lines network to the greasing points. The grease moves to the metering blocks through the main lines. The pump automatically switches off as soon as the pressure in all metering units has reached a minimum of 100 bar. The advantage of this particular system set-up is that the greasing points furthest away from the pump will receive the specified amount of grease at full pressure.

The pump unit pumps the exact amount of grease to each greasing point via the main line, the metering blocks and the metering units, and then via secondary lines. An electronic time switch or a PLC determines the greasing time and the duration of the greasing cycle every time the set interval time expires.

The benefits of a TWIN automatic greasing system

  • all greasing points serviced from central pump units;
  • less wear because of constant greasing
  • less downtime for maintenance and repairs
  • expandable with more greasing points, even after installation
