Description: During reversing, hazardous situations can arise, whenever there is little room for manoeuvre. An effective support tool for reversing is the Groeneveld Greensight, which provides your driver with accurate information about the space available behind his vehicle. As a result, your vehicles can be deployed more safely, and with less risk of damage. The Greensight system is switched on and automatically tested, whenever reverse gear is selected. Using ultrasonic vibrations, two sensor units on the rear of the vehicle search a predetermined field, which is split into three zones, and which covers an area extending up to three metres behind the vehicle. If stationary or moving objects are detected in one of the these zones, the Greensight issues an acoustic or light signal in the cab, which indicates that an object has been detected. Although the system is unable to determine the precise position of the object, it does identify the zone in which the object has been observed. Groeneveld also offers a system which monitors the top corners of the truck, using two additional sensor units mounted on the top of the vehicle. The advantages in brief: |
