Closed loop piston pumps
Closed loop piston pumps are generally used for hydrostatic drive systems. Instead of the return oil from the motor returning to the tank, the oil is redirected back to the pump and re-circulated. A small gear pump called a charge pump replaces a small percentage of oil in the loop with fresh oil on a continuous basis. Controls typically range from pressure compensation, kW limitation (or torque limitation) or electric remote adjustment. Usually on large systems a cooler will be required and a reservoir with a minimum of twice the maximum flow from the pump.

The S40P series has displacements of 25cc to 46cc to 400 bar.
The S90P series has displacements of 42cc to 250cc up to 480 bar.
The Danfoss H1 pumps feature common design technologies and assembly techniques. Overall, it offers simpler and high performance designs with fewer parts than previous hydrostatic products. The H1P series offers a range of displacements from 45cc to 250 cc and pressures up to 480 bar.
